Raytheon is tying the knot with four Indian aerospace and defense companies in a series of partnership agreements as it takes aim at securing a position on a big combat aircraft program. The U.S. contractor announced at the show it had signed memoranda of understanding with four major Indian companies covering a range of capabilities across electronics, fabrication, software, environmental systems, electro-optics and other sectors.
The companies are Wipro, Larsen & Toubro, Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing and Data Patterns (India). Raytheon signed an MoU with the Strategic Electronics Division of Tata Power earlier this year.
Wes Motooka, vice president international of Raytheon Space & Aviation said the company was also in discussion with two further Indian companies to form strategic alliances.
