Twenty four hours after your channel reported the story and two days after 20 Air India passengers were left in the lurch in Thiruvananthapuram- not only has Air India not compensated them yet, but the airline has not even tendered an apology and no answers have been given.
TIMES NOW has taken this incident up as a case study demanding answers from top authorities one why air passengers are not treated with care in this country.
Here's what had happened:
On Saturday morning (November 17), around 20 passengers on board AI flight 980 from Dubai were asked to disembark at Thiruvananthapuram instead of their destination Kozhikode in Kerala.
Air India then offered taxis to the passengers to cover the remaining distance to Kozhikode - a journey which would take 14 hours!
When your channel tried to get some answers, Air India officials were either unaware of the incident or felt they had done enough by compensating the passengers with a free 14-hour ride- which was definitely no Joyride.
