Pune: Sensing a boom in the area of air cargo transportation, city airliners have come together and established an Air Cargo Club of Pune (ACCP). The club aims at providing a common platform to the city air cargo service providers, airliners, customs department, air cargo agents, and freight forwarders, among others. It will also work as a united body of cargo airlines to pursue matters with the government.
The club was formed last Thursday at a meeting of airliners held at the Inland Cargo Depot (ICD) Dighi.
ACCP will work as a facilitator to the air cargo industry in and around Pune and address problems and endeavour to bring about quick solutions.
The existing committee members include officials of the airline services Air India, Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines, SpiceJet and Indigo Airlines.
