Air passengers stranded for 16 hours

Ahmedabad: Some passengers of Qatar Airlines flight number QR 283, were stranded for 16 hours due to a delayed flight on Monday at the Ahmedabad airport before finally flying at 9.30 pm.
All the while, the airline officials kept on telling passengers that the flight would take off albeit a bit late and technical support staff had been summoned from Mumbai. Officials of Qatar Airlines told TOI that the flight is re-scheduled to depart at 9.30 pm.
It was after several hours that the worried passengers were informed that their flight enroute to Doha from Ahmedabad would be delayed due to technical fault.
Earlier, the flight from Doha arrived at Ahmedabad on its scheduled time at 4 am on Monday.
Thereafter, the flight had to depart to Doha carrying passengers at 4.45 pm. When the flight did not take-off, the passengers grew anxious with no explanation forthcoming from the airline management. The passengers were later accommodated at a hotel in Khanpur.
