Al Sayegh's new airline to fly to India too

Sharjah: Al Sayegh Group is set to launch a new $100-million airline, said Sharjah-based National Paints Company CEO Saleem Al Sayegh.
Al Sayegh Airlines would start its activity soon with two flights per week to Sharjah, Istanbul, Moscow, China, India and Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan, Al Sayegh was quoted as saying by UAE-based Arabic daily Al Khaleej.
He said the airline's headoffice would be based in Bishkek, noting that the airline had already obtained all the necessary licences.
The airline will start with a fleet of 8 aircraft but the number would be increased gradually.
The airline is scheduled to operate five cargo aircraft and three passenger aircraft, he said, adding that five Airbus aircraft had already been contracted while talks are going on for three more aircraft.
The cargo flights would start next month while the passenger flights will start in April, he said, adding that the airline intends to buy three aircraft for chartered flights. The airline will expand its operations to include some European and Arab countries.
