The pilot of a Guwahati-bound flight of Air India refused to take on board a 75-year-old passenger who fell ill at Calcutta airport on Friday morning. Abdul Mannan, a resident of Karimganj, in Assam, arrived at Calcutta airport on the airline’s Haj flight from Jeddah. Mannan was taken to the medical observation room of the airport, where his condition became stable, officials said.
