AI Engg unit to open at Thiruvananthapuram on March 1

Thiruvananthapuram: Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs M.Vijayakumar said here on Sunday that the aircraft engineering unit of Air India was expected to start functioning in Thiruvananthapuram from March 1.
He announced that the Rajiv Gandhi Aviation Academy here would start flight training next month. “Efforts are on set up an aviation university. Pointing out that many priority projects had been bogged down due to the controversy over land acquisition, he called upon residents’ associations to cooperate in making land available.
