Airline set to expand operations

Air India Express is to expand its operations from Bahrain to Kerala from 10 flights to 13 a week, it was revealed yesterday.
The airline is adding three more frequencies a week, thus making the connectivity to Kerala almost daily, starting from February 19, said manager for Bahrain and Jordan, D Debesh.
"Calicut which has been the most important destination is now connected six times a week from Bahrain barring Mondays," he told the GDN.
"On Monday, we have a service to Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala. However, Kochi, the commercial centre of Kerala, is now connected by Air India Express on a daily basis."
"Besides the Kerala operations, Air India Express connects Mangalore with convenient departure and arrival timings thrice a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays," he added.
