British Airways freighter to link Hyderabad and Heathrow

Mumbai: British Airways (BA) World Cargo will operate direct flights between Hyderabad and London (Heathrow) from Oct 2008.
The company will provide five flights a week deploying the wide-bodied Boeing 777, said Mat Burton, area manager (India and Nepal) of BA World Cargo.
"Hyderabad is an increasingly important destination, primarily due to the rapid increase in pharmaceutical and IT manufacture in the region. The new services will enable our customers to take advantage of British Airways World Cargo's services," Burton said.
At present, BA World Cargo operates ten freighter service flights every week from five Indian cities to London's Heathrow airport.
