Mumbai: Passengers flying from the Delhi and Mumbai airports may soon be able to watch movies, news, as well as play games while waiting for their flights. The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) and Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) are mulling over the idea of setting up an 'entertainment zone' for passengers flying to international destinations.
Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport will be the first in India to introduce the service, followed by all metro airports. "We are exploring the possibility of setting up an entertainment zone that will also feature gaming zones in the passenger waiting areas, first at the international terminal and later, at the domestic terminal," said Andrew Harrison, Chief Operating Officer (COO), DIAL.
DIAL has already joined hands with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to provide WiFi facilities at the airport. Passengers cab avail of the facility on their WiFi-enabled laptops, hand-held devices such as pocket PCs, smart phones, mobile phones, gaming devices and PDA.
