First-time fliers causing air turbulence

Mumbai: Low cost carriers might have attracted a whole new segment of air travellers, but they also seem to have attracted trouble-mongers. Of late, not only have unruly passengers been the cause of trauma and harassment, they have also caused economic losses.
When Jaipur-based businessman Ved Prakash was offloaded for allegedly molesting two GoAir flight attendants, the flight was stuck at the airport for nearly 30 minutes. In addition to the trauma of the victims, the aircraft consumed fuel worth a few lakh rupees with ACs, lights and other electrical appliances running while the drama unfolded.
Often, flights are delayed when passengers go missing after collecting the boarding pass, as was the case with a Kolkata-Mumbai Indigo flight on January 18.
First-timers are also often oblivious to the dos and don’ts while flying.
