Flyers taken for a ride, on bus

New Delhi: Passengers bound for Varanasi on a Jetlite flight from Delhi to Patna via Varanasi found themselves stranded in Patna on Wednesday after bad weather conditions forced the flight to bypass Varanasi altogether.
The passengers were then sent to their destination, 235 km away from Patna, by bus.
According to sources, the flight S2171, with 90 passengers on board, landed at Patna at 6 am, after it could not land at Varanasi due to bad weather. For passengers bound for Varanasi, the airline staff arranged for a bus which left at 9.30 am.
