Chennai: It was no child's play when Chennai Airport customs officers found a dismantled wooden baby cot on board an Indian aircraft on Friday night.
On closer inspection, they found the popular party drug, ketamine worth RM400,000, hidden inside the frames of the cot on board an Indian aircraft.
Twelve packets of ketamine weighing four kilogrammes, were seized and an Indian national bound for Kuala Lumpur, arrested to facilitate investigations into drug trafficking.
The suspect is believed to have earlier, declared the dismantled cot as baggage at the airport counter.
Chennai Customs Commissioner (Airport) C. Rajan told Bernama that it was the third time since last December, his officers had foiled attempts to smuggle ketamine hydrochloride meant for Kuala Lumpur.
