Vancouver: The only man to be convicted in the Air India bombing will remain in jail.
Inderjit Singh Reyat's current manslaughter sentence expires this week and there was concern he'd walk free on Saturday.
However, Reyat is facing perjury charges on accusations that he lied at the trial of two other men acquitted of murder in the bombings.
The Crown has confirmed he will stay in jail on a 2006 arrest warrant for the perjury charges and it will be up to him to ask the judge for release.
His case has been adjourned to March 7 to fix a new trial date.
