New Delhi: An employee of Jet Airways was injured and had to be hospitalised after a roof panel in a bathroom at IGI Airport’s terminal 1B fell on her on Tuesday morning. Two of her colleagues also sustained minor injuries.
The incident comes a few months after Aman Saini, an assistant general manager of terminal II at the airport, had a narrow escape when the roof of her newly renovated office collapsed.
According to airline sources, the three girls were on their way out of a bathroom in the domestic departure area in the early hours of the morning when a part of the false ceiling fell on them.
While one of them sustained serious injuries and had to be taken to the Spinal Injuries Centre, the other two suffered minor injuries and received first-aid at the airport. The bathroom was temporarily closed after the mishap.
