Ahmedabad: An NRG, Rajesh Khoti, 21, was detained by Sardarnagar police on Thursday morning when international airport authority informed police officials about an unruly passenger.
According to Sardarnagar police officials, Khoti, a UK resident, was aboard an Air India London to Mumbai flight. He was heavily drunk and switched on his mobile phone soon after crossing Mumbai.
"He then started abusing co-passengers and even made lewd remarks at air hostesses. Air stewards put him in a separate compartment. Even after that, his bad behaviour continued. When the plane touched down at the Ahmedabad airport, he was taken to the terminal and handed over to the airport security personnel. They informed us. We detained him when we reached there," said AR Parmar, inspector, Meghaninagar police station.
Khoti was produced before judicial magistrate, who released him on bail.
