IndiGo wins best low-fare carrier award

Mumbai: IndiGo, a low-fare domestic airline, was awarded "Best Low-Fare Carrier in India for the year 2007" by the Air Passengers Association of India (APAI).
President and CEO of IndiGo Bruce Ashby said: "I am absolutely delighted that our efforts to run an affordable, reliable, hassle-free airline have been recognized by the people who matter most - the travellers".
The APAI conducted the poll among frequent flyers and its members at Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Kochi airport during Feb 15-29, 2008, with more than 1600 respondents. Apart from passenger responses, over 400 online responses were received from members of APAI.
The award is based on scores received on six criteria: value for money, punctuality, connectivity, safety, refunds and baggage handling.
