US group keen on developing airport

Kolkata: AECOM Technology Corp, a leading Los Angeles-based consultant in technical and management support services, is keen on collaborating with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) for the modernisation of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose International Airport.
William Allen, the president and chief executive officer of Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation said that Vice-Chairman Ray Holdsworth has said his company is interested in working with AAI to help it realise its goals.
Holdsworth was part of a 25-member US trade delegation from south California, which visited Kolkata on Friday and Saturday. Long Beach council member Suja Lowenthal and Long Beach Harbour Commission president Mario Cordero, who were also a part of the team, have reportedly begun a dialogue with the Kolkata Port Trust regarding its expansion plans.
