Chennai: As many as 113 passengers and five crew members of a New Delhi-bound Air India ( formerly Indian) flight had a providential escape as the aircraft suffered a technical snag, an hour after take off from the Kamaraj domestic terminal here this morning. Airport sources said that after the flight developed technical snag, the Air Traffic Control authorities asked the pilot to return to Chennai. Accordingly, the pilot safely landed the aircraft here.
As the aircraft could not be repaired immediately, the passengers, including Pondicherry Minister Kandasamy and Congress MLA H Vasanthakumar, were sent to their destination in an alternate flight.
