Clerics have no problem with Kingfisher Airlines

New Delhi: Vijay Mallya's Kingefisher Airlines have found unexpected supporters in clerics of Deoband Darul Uloom, who have given a green signal to Muslims to board its flights.
In a fatwa issued recently by the Islamic organisation, the clerics said Muslims can take services of Kingfisher Airlines even if it is being run by the money earned through liquor business, which is considered unacceptable in Islam.
The fatwa unit of the Deoband Darul Uloom was asked if Muslims could use the airlines since it is associated with the group dealing in liquor.
The fatwa said the money accumulated by non-Muslims through liquor business is acceptable and if they are using this money to run an airlines, Muslims are allowed to use the services.
