GoAir announces differential fuel surcharge

Panaji: GoAir is revising its pricing by introducing a differential fuel surcharge module. Pursuant to the hike in ATF prices, the resultant increase in fuel surcharge is Rs 150 for short haul flights and Rs 350 for long haul flights. Consequently, the applicable surcharge has been revised from Rs 1650 to Rs 1800 on short hauls and Rs 2000 on long hauls. There is no change in congestion surcharge at Rs 150 and PSF at Rs 225.
According to Mr Edgardo Badiali, chief executive officer, GoAir: "Despite the steep increase in ATF prices, we have decided not to increase our fares uniformly. Thus, we are ensuring only a marginal increase in fuel surcharge for our short haul passengers."
Some of the key short haul sectors of GoAir include Srinagar-Jammu-Srinagar, Delhi-Jammu-Delhi, Mumbai-Hyderabad-Mumbai, Hyderabad-Chennai-Hyderabad, Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Mumbai, Mumbai-Goa-Mumbai, Delhi-Jaipur-Delhi, Hyderabad-Bangalore-Hyderabad.
