IA leaves Rio & team behind

Kolkata: The neglect that has always been handed out to Nagaland and several other north eastern states by the Indian airlines was once again repeated today with the Dimapur-bound Indian flight from Kolkata being cancelled under the most negligent circumstances. Interestingly, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and some of his colleagues were aboard. And neither were they spared the shabby treatment meted out to the Nagaland passengers by the Indian airlines. Passengers bound for Dimapur on Indian flight number IC 207 went through a harrowing experience as the flight was on schedule but the airlines announced to be cancelled at the eleventh hour due to a reported “technical snag” after boarding. After repeated requests from passengers, the airlines finally arranged an alternative aircraft on which the passengers were made to board. However after the passengers were seated on the aircraft for more than 45 minutes, the airlines, much to the shock of the passengers, once again announced that the flight was being cancelled.
