New Delhi: Kingfisher Airlines on Monday launched five new flights to various destinations across the nation.
The airlines launched its daily Delhi-Chandigarh- Mumbai flight, from New Delhi to Goa and Hyderabad, from Mumbai to Ahmedabad and from Chennai to Coimbatore. It had also increased the frequency of its Delhi-Hyderabad flight to thrice daily.
"There were a number of travellers, be it business or holidays travellers, to Shimla and other hill stations, who were facing problems to visit Chandigarh. This flight (Delhi-Chandigarh-Mumbai) will provide them a better option," airlines' Vice-President (Global Sales) Siva Ramachandram told reporters at the launch of flight to Chandigarh.
We are expecting 70 per cent occupancy in our flights, which may increase during the holidays, he added. The inaugural flight to Chandigarh was welcomed by Governor of Punjab S F Rodrigues, who is also the Administrator of Union Territory Chandigarh.
