Woman with gun held at airport

Mumbai: A woman from Kerala was detained at Mumbai airport on Saturday afternoon after a revolver was found in her baggage.
Saji George, a 34-year-old nurse, was carrying a country-made revolver in her handbag and it was detected in the X-ray Scan, said S N Ghuge, senior police inspector at the Domestic Airport police station.
Ghuge said that she was on her way to Bangalore on a SpiceJet flight.
According to Ghuge, she was oblivious of the fact that there was gun in her bag. She said this bag was lying at her relative's house for the past five years.
''George said she did not check the bag as it was from her relative's place,'' he added.
