Accenture to buy AddVal

Global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company Accenture is to acquire the business of AddVal Technology, a provider of end-to-end shipment management products and services to freight management and airline cargo companies.
The acquisition will give Accenture a technology platform for freight order management and will strengthen its freight and logistics business.
Specifically, the acquisition will enhance Accenture’s ability to help clients modernise their freight management services and accelerate integration of the freight management systems with key finance, business intelligence and other management systems.
