Air India Express on expansion spree

Mumbai: Air India Express, which currently operates 48 flights per week to Dubai from 12 Indian cities is on an expansion spree. The airline will add nine more flights from three more Indian cities to Dubai effective June 2008 to have 57 weekly flights.
Air India Express, the international budget airline, which is into its fourth year of operations, will now also have flights to Dubai from Hyderabad, Goa and Pune.
Air India Express fleet presently comprises of 18 B737-800 aircraft, one of the most technologically advanced single aisle jet aircraft. By the end of 2009, it will have 25 aircraft in its fleet – 7 leased and 18 owned.
