Flight arrives sans baggage

Vasco: Chaos prevailed at the Dabolim airport as a sizable amount of luggage of the Kingfisher Bangalore-Goa flight was left behind at the Bangalore airport.
Nearly 60 packages which included suitcases, boxes and big bags were mistakenly left behind by the baggage handling staff of the airlines at the new Bangalore airport.
According to the sources at Dabolim airport, the IT 612 Kingfisher Airlines flight arrived at Dabolim airport at around 5.40 pm, an hour behind schedule due to opening of the new Bangalore airport.
Enquiries revealed that as the Kingfisher airlines has engaged new staff at Bangalore airport, and there was confusion among the ground handling staff which led to the packages being left behind.
The passengers were however compensated for the inconvenience by the airlines management.
