Kolkata: A high-velocity storm disrupted air traffic at the NSC Bose international airport for over forty minutes on Sunday.
Airport sources said a Kolkata-bound Indigo flight from Bangalore was diverted to Bhubaneswar and four other flights hovered over the airport for a long period as landing permission was not granted.
Departure of two Air India flights for Delhi and Bangalore were delayed by about an hour due to the inclement weather, the sources said.
