Oman Air launches operations to southern Indian state

Muscat: Oman Air will add a highly lucrative destination to its expanding network with the launch of operations to Kozhikode in the southern Indian state of Kerala on June 5.
Another south Indian city, Bangalore, will follow suit, also next month, and the carrier is poised to begin services to four other destinations - Sana’a, Damascus, Frankfurt and Kuala Lumpur — in the subsequent months.
The airline will operate seven flights a week on the route, one daily, using Boeing 737-800 aircraft that will accommodate 159 passengers in the economy and 12 in the business class. Kozhikode will be Oman Air’s ninth destination in India and 26th worldwide.
