Plane crashes at Berlin air show

A fighter plane skids off the runway at Berlin-Schoenefeld airport shortly after the official opening of the annual Berlin air show.
The pilot managed to get out of the the Messerschmidt Me 109 plane unaided, DPA quoted local officials as saying.
The cause of the crash is still unclear.
The Me 109 is a one-seated German propeller aircraft that was used by the German airforce in the 30s and 40s.
Meanwhile, India as a guest of honor at the prestigious Berlin air show is wooing foreign aviation giants to "proactively" tap the booming Indian market.
The 6-day biennial International Aerospace Exhibition is featuring India as the "partner country" this time to focus attention on the enormous opportunities for trade and investments in aviation and defense sectors in the country.
