Kolkata: An Air India aircraft to Mumbai and another SpiceJet plane from Guwahati made emergency landings at NSC Bose International Airport here on Tuesday.
Airline sources said all passengers were safe and the aircraft were being examined.
Being hit by a bird in the sky a few minutes after flying at 7 pm, the Air India plane with 145 passengers on board had to land here.
In another emergency landing this afternoon, the pilot of SpiceJet flight with 94 passengers on board contacted air traffic control here about suspected technical problem in the engine before landing.
