Airhostess suicide: Why the case will be tough to crack

Mumbai: It was in room number 311 of a famous hotel in Mumbai's Santacruz area that Sucheta Anand, an airhostess with a low-cost airline allegedly committed suicide.
She was found hanging from the ceiling fan and her colleague and a co-pilot with the same airlines, Arjun Menon, is now in the police custody for allegedly abetting her suicide.
Investigations into the case revealed Menon was the last to meet Sucheta before she committed suicide. Police claim to have CCTV footage of Arjun Menon entering the hotel on night when she died.
He was allegedly aware of Sucheta's troubled marriage. In the past Menon had also interacted with Sucheta's husband Sumit Vermani.
Despite the new twist, Sucheta's family hold her in-laws responsible for the tragedy.
In the absence of a suicide note, it will be a real challenge for the police to find out what made Sucheta take the final step and harder to find evidence that will pin the accused in court.
