Flight attendant's family hints at murder

New Delhi: The case of 24-year-old airhostess Sucheta's death in a five star hotel in Mumbai on June 8, seems to be getting murkier with the deceased's family hinting at the possibility of murder. Meanwhile, the postmortem report which will establish the time and cause of death is still awaited.
Speaking to TOI, Sucheta Anand's brother Manish said: "My sister was too strong a person to commit suicide. She spoke to us around 2.30 pm and sounded perfectly normal. Sucheta was excited about coming to Delhi on June 11 and said she was bringing expensive presents for us. Arjun Menon spent more than 12 hours in Sucheta's room the day her body was found, which is too much of a coincidence. We strongly suspect him to have a role in her death. He, surely, either said or did something to her, which led to her death."
The family says they had met Arjun, also a divorcee, only once when he visited them at their East of Kailash home.
The Mumbai police told the family that Arjun was present in Sucheta's hotel room from early morning till about 6 pm on the day of her death. "The CCTV footage at the hotel shows him leaving around 6 pm. But since the post mortem report is still not out, we have no idea what time Sucheta died. Since no one went to her room till the time the body was found, the possibility of her having been murdered before 6 pm can't be ignored," he said.
