Kuwait: Air India hosted a Lunch Party at Hotel Crowne Plaza recently. It was well attended by prominent Non-Resident Indians, Indian Ambassador, Embassy of India Officials, Heads of Public Sector Undertakings, Senior Travel partners and officers/Staff members of both Air India ( NACIL-A) and erstwhile Indian ( NACIL - I) who were present with their families. There was appearance of some senior cine artists from Bollywood, who travelled to Kuwait on Air India for shooting of first full length Hindi film Kahin Na Kahin Milenge in Kuwait.
Mr. Krishan C. Bhar, Manager-Kuwait & Cyprus, Air India, spoke on the occasion and said that Air India performed well in the year 2007/08 despite flight disruptions. He thanked everyone for their cooperation extended to him during the past one year, without which it was difficult to achieve good results.
He stated that Civil Aviation industry has many challenges to face at present. Air India like other airlines have the challenge of extraordinary hike in fuel prices and delay in delivery of aircraft from the Boeing company. However, during a very long tenure of AI service in the past, AI did face such challenges and with the cooperation of all, it is not difficult to overcome any problem with a strong determination to provide good service to the travelers on Air India. He mentioned that presently Air India in-flight service both business class and economy class, is being praised by many customers. Manager also gave assurance that all efforts will be made to expand the existing operations of flights to/from Kuwait.
