MDLR air link to Hyderabad

Ranchi: Air connectivity from the capital is poised for a big leap with a flight to Hyderabad and Chandigarh in the offing.
MDLR is likely to start the Hyderabad-Chandigarh-Ranchi flight from July. The airline will operate a 70-seater Avro. The airline company’s area station manager K. Mahesh, said: “The exact date is yet to be finalised.”
The new flight is going to be introduced because of the growing demand for direct connectivity with southern states.
The flight would make it convenient for people going to Bangalore and Chennai — the other major cities in the south.
When the service starts, it would be the only air link from here to any city in south India. JetLite had begun an afternoon flight to Banga- lore via Calcutta. However, that service is not operational till June 14.
