Virgin Atlantic Airways appoints new General Manager - India

New Delhi: Virgin Atlantic Airways, Britain’s second largest long haul airline has appointed Michael Burke as the new General Manager - India. Prior to this, Burke served as the Country Manager, Virgin Atlantic Airways in China.
He has been with the airline for nearly 13 years now. His breadth of experience in the organisation is expected to add an important dimension to Virgin Atlantic operations in India.
Commenting on his new role in India, Mr. Michael Burke said: “India is one of the most exciting destinations today and my appointment couldn’t have been better timed. I am looking forward to working in this dynamic market that is simply bustling.”
Burke’s years of aviation experience, coupled with his focus on quality and enhanced productivity, make him an outstanding addition to the Virgin Atlantic Airways India team. In his new role, Burke will be responsible for themanagement and operations of the Virgin Atlantic Airways in India. He will also focus on strategic corporate initiatives and business development for the brand, thus strengthening the airline’s position in the country with the support of his team and partners.
