Air India to withdraw morning flight to Delhi

Vadodara: Air India which had only recently introduced a morning flight connecting the city to the national capital has decided to withdraw its flight with effect from July 31. The airline had introduced the morning flight to Delhi on July 1 by extending its IC 817 Delhi-Ahmedabad flight to Vadodara.
Sources suggest that the airline has taken steps as part of its nation-wide decision to reduce losses caused on account of low passenger load factors, rising cost of aviation turbine fuel and increase in wage costs.
Nationally, over 30 flights have been withdrawn for a period of two months starting from July 31 till September 30 after which the airline is expected to come out with a new schedule.
With the morning flight being withdrawn, passengers from the city wishing to travel to Delhi will now have the option of four daily flights including an evening flight of Air India, a morning flight of Indigo and a morning and an evening flight of Jet Airways.
