Mumbai: Public sector logistics giant Container Corporation of India (Concor) is planning to set up air-freight stations at 15-20 of its inland container depots (ICDs), according to a business daily. Concor has a total of 58 ICDs.
The company expects to form strategic alliances with companies that are already in the air-freight forwarding business, the newspaper says.
The paper stated that Concor has invited expression of interests from various parties and had shortlisted three entities.
The air-freight stations would be slightly smaller than the air cargo complexes set up at Nasik and Bangalore airports, the daily says. These complexes marked the company's entry into the air cargo segment.
