Kingfisher Airlines to fly overseas under its own logo

New Delhi: Kingfisher Airlines will fly overseas under its own brand, even though the airline will fly under Deccan Aviation's flying permit.
After getting the legal approval from the Karnataka High Court on the Kingfisher Airlines-Deccan Aviation merger last month, it has set the process rolling to fly abroad under its own Kingfisher logo. It has finished much of the integration with Deccan fleet, livery and manpower have already blended with Kingfisher’s format.
Kingfisher is now filing for statutory requirements with different agencies to emerge as a single entity and have a worldwide consolidated operations. The merger process also awaits clearance from the country’s aviation regulator, Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) with which the airline has applied for flying international.
“In the light of court order, we will file for new changes in the company’s ownership with the Registrar of Companies to get the required clearances to complete the merger. The process of merging Deccan Aviation with the unlisted Kingfisher Airlines will conclude and the decision to disband the Deccan brand will be taken in airline’s board meeting in next few weeks,” said sources in the airline.
However, its international service plan have been delayed by a month and will now start sometime in September.
