Hochtief AG is competing with Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska, its biggest shareholder, to buy a stake in St. Petersburg airport OAO Aeroport Pulkovo, Boersen- Zeitung said, citing an unidentified spokeswoman for Hochtief.
Both companies have qualified to bid for the airport, which is valued at about 1 billion euros ($1.5 billion) according to the city of St. Petersburg, the newspaper said. The airport is Russia's fourth biggest, handling more than 6 million passengers last year, Boersen-Zeitung said.
Indian airport operator GMR Infrastructure Ltd. and Moscow- based Petroport, made up of Lider Asset Management and Vienna airport, as well as Fraport AG have also qualified to bid, the newspaper said.
