Kolkata: Kingfisher Airlines, India's first and only 5-Star airline, today operated a 60 minute Dream Flight for underprivileged children from several institutions namely CINI Asha, Anjuman Mufidul Islam, Missionaries of Charity and SEED. Children who had been nominated by the Airports Authority of India and DGCA were also part of the Dream Flight.
The celebration was memorable as the little guests enjoyed the flight along with Ms Koneenica Banerjee, well known Bengali movie star.
Once the children arrived at the airport, they were presented with Kingfisher Airlines T-shirt and caps. The children were then escorted to the check-in counter and to the security hub. The Flight IT - 1508 took off from Kolkata airport at 1.00 pm and, on-board, air hostesses entertained the young guests and shared their exciting flying experiences. The children were enthralled to meet and interact with Ms Koneenica Banerjee and had their dreams fulfilled by getting an aerial view of Kolkata and the surrounding area. The anticipation and expectation when they entered the flight was turned into a beautiful experience for the children and they were overjoyed to fly for the first time. The flight returned after an hour, landing back at Kolkata airport at 2.00 pm.
