CM: Dabolim expansion plan on track

Panaji: Chief minister Digambar Kamat on Wednesday dismissed reports that the Public Investment Board under the Union finance ministry had rejected estimates for the expansion of Dabolim airport.
He said that the board had raised only some technical queries and further said these aspects will be complied with and the estimate will be resent to the board. The board will grant its approval during its next meeting, the CM said.
Mr Kamat said the only hitch that existed was whether the navy or the Airports Authority of India would execute the work of the parallel taxi track at Dabolim. Otherwise the estimate of the Dabolim expansion for Rs 500 crore is ready and this includes the work of the parallel taxi track, he said.
