Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Law Minister M Vijakumar had to cancel his trip to Kochi on Sunday as the Indian flight on which he was scheduled to travel allegedly took off slightly earlier than the scheduled departure time.
A spokesman at the Minister's office said he had lodged a complaint with the authorities of Indian about the matter.
Vijayakumar had reached the airport at 0600 hrs to catch the Thiruvananthapuram-Kochi-Delhi flight, scheduled to leave at 0615 hrs. The flight, however, had taken off by the time he reached the airport, the spokesman said.
Airline authorities, however, denied the charge and said Vijaykumar reached the airport only by 0610 hrs by which time check in formalities had been completed and the counters closed.
The airline sources said that there was no prior information about the time the minister would be reaching the airport.
