Air India employees withdraw strike call

Mumbai: A proposed strike by a section of Air India employees on issues relating to their carrier advancement was called off late on Wednesday night following talks with the airlines management.
"All issues have been resolved amicably and the employees have withdrawn their proposed agitation," an Air Indian spokesperson said.
A section of the Air Corporation Employees Union, which represents majority of the airlines ground staff, had given the call for strike from midnight over issues like promotions and increment.
A spokesperson said they were also carrying on negotiation with the management on a regular basis.
The authorities amicably resolved the issue at a meeting held in Mumbai, he said, adding that there was no disruption of work at airlines service.
