SpiceJet lands in controversy

Mumbai: A catholic organization in Mumbai has sought an apology from SpiceJet airline firm for publishing in its in-flight magazine an article, which said Jesus’ tomb could be seen in Srinagar, northern India.
The Catholic Secular Forum on Sunday said SpiceJet should apologize or withdraw the article from its monthly magazine.
In a statement the forum said the airlines’ monthly magazine 'had the picture of the Rozabal tomb near Srinagar as the tomb of Jesus. Forum General Secretary and spokes person Joseph Dias said it was shocking that "an airline like SpiceJet was stooping to such a low to sell its tickets.”
''There is no evidence to prove that Jesus fled from Israel and in fact, the Garden Tomb near Calvary, where he died, has millions of tourists compared to the unheard tourist spot near Srinagar, This strikes at the fundamentals of Christian faith," Dias said.
The forum demanded an apology from the airline director Ajay sigh.
