Two flights develop snags

Chennai: Two aircraft developed technical snags and were forced to return after take off from the Chennai airport on Friday.
A Chennai-Kuala Lumpur Air India Express aircraft that took off at 6 am had to return after the aircraft developed a snag when it neared Singapore. The passengers disembarked and were taken to the terminal. They were provided with refreshments, said an official. As the aircraft could not be repaired, a replacement was brought and the service was operated at 10 am.
Meanwhile, a Chennai-Delhi Kingfisher airlines aircraft that took off at 6.20 am returned after it developed a snag soon after take off.
As soon as the flight was airborne the pilot informed air traffic control of the snag.
