Abacus partners with Jet Airways and JETLite in India

Mumbai: Abacus Distribution System India Pvt. Ltd. announced their partnership with Jet Airways and JetLite yesterday. The tie-up between the two in India comes in the wake of a successful relationship in other Asia-Pacific markets. Abacus through this partnership will help the airlines reduce cost and stimulate demand on key routes. A new joint promotion called `Festive Hamper,’ has been introduced by Abacus and it will reward travel consultants for booking tickets of Jet Airways and JetLite on the Abacus system. This promotion, which will last till January next year is applicable to all segments booked and ticketed through the Abacus system for both international and domestic sectors. It is aimed at helping both airlines to stimulate demand and improve distribution cost.
Commenting about the partnership, Nikhil Dhodapkar, Managing Director, Abacus Distribution Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd. said that the tie-up with the airlines is an example of Abacus’ commitment to promote airline friendly pricing policies and marketing strategies that benefits the agent community.
