IndiGo awarded 'Best Domestic Low-cost Carrier'

IndiGo, the low-cost LOW-FARE domestic airline that is redefining airline quality standards in India, gets the Columbus for being the “Best Domestic Low-cost Carrier in India for the year 2007- 2008” at the Galileo Express TravelWorld Awards. The award was presented to IndiGo by Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel at a gala function held at the Grand Hotel in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi on December 10, 2008.
Speaking on the grand occasion Mr. Aditya Ghosh President IndiGo said “This award is very dear to IndiGo... We are elated! This is a great affirmation of our mission.. to redefine the way people look at airlines ... Especially low fare carriers. We have kept things simple-on time, affordable and hassel free … but everything we do we execute with excellence! It is gratifying to see that our unrelenting efforts to redefine quality standards in Indian aviation have been recognized." Ghosh added, "On behalf of the entire team at IndiGo, I accept this award with great humility and we thank Hon'ble Minister Praful Patel, without whose guidance, IndiGo would not have been here, we thank our travel industry partners, without whose support, we would not have seen this success and finally, we thank our passengers, who make us who we are!"
