Now, book your meal before you fly

New Delhi: Recession-hit airline companies in India are upping the ante to attract travellers with special offers ranging from meals to travel concessions.
SpiceJet has launched a special 'book your meal before you fly' option on all its flights, which allows passengers to enjoy the benefits of pre-ordered onboard refreshments at the time of booking their tickets through spicejet.com and the SpiceJet call centre.
Passengers can now pre-order and enjoy healthy refreshments of their choice on board without the hassle of on-board cash transaction. 'SpiceJetters' can now choose either a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian combo comprising a wholesome sandwich and a refreshing drink. These special combos are available for a special price of only Rs. 100.
Additional refreshments will continue to be available for direct purchase on board. In addition to refreshments, SpiceJet is also offering a range of special gift items for purchase on board. The range includes travel items like wallet, chargers and bags in addition to fashionable watches, electronic games and jewellery. The same can also be bought online through Spicejetmall.com.
Jet Airways, too, is luring travellers with substantially reduced basic fares on Economy class on all its domestic flights. With the introduction of these special fares now lower by up to 40 per cent, Jet Airways customers on Mumbai-Delhi economy class route can fly for as low as Rs 2000, on Mumbai-Kolkata for Rs 1065, on Bengaluru-Mumbai for Rs 1220, and Mumbai-Ahmedabad for Rs 500.
