Guruvayur: The Petroleum Ministry has initiated talks with various airlines operating between airports in Kerala and the West Asia for reducing the air fares as the cost of aviation oil has considerably fallen, said Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural gas Murli Deora.
He was talking to mediapersons at Sreevalsam Guest House here on Tuesday. It is expected that the airlines will ensure a fare reduction in the coming days which will be beneficial for the state with a maximum number of NRIs.
The further reduction in the petroleum products will be enforced after the Cabinet clearances in January as a new year gift, Deora added.
